Understand client accounts
Know how client sign-in, guest details and business client records fit together.
A client can book first and use an account to keep appointments, forms and messages together. Your business directory remains the place where you manage the relationship and private notes.
In the app Business users can recognise linked accounts and can switch into their own personal client view.
Open Clients and select the person.
Look for the OneDiary account marker beside linked client records. Guest records may only contain the details supplied to your business.
Use the business client profile for private notes, appointment history and forms. These private notes are not shown in the client account.
To see your own client experience, open Profile, Account switching and choose Personal client view.
In the portal The portal identifies account-linked clients but does not sign you into their account.
Open Clients and select the client record.
Use the OneDiary account marker to distinguish an account-linked client from a guest record.
Update guest contact details only when the client has given you the corrected information.
Never ask for or use a client password. Client sign-in and password recovery belong to the client.
What clients can do What changes or appears for the person booking.
Signed-in clients can keep supported appointments, forms, messages and profile details together. Available cancellation or rescheduling actions still follow the rules set by the business.
